Prices, fees, and payments

Rules for offer prices, platform fees, payment fees, refunds, and seller payouts.

Displayed prices

The seller sets the net amount they wish to receive after fees. Grinsel calculates and displays the total price paid by the buyer by adding the platform commission (15 % of the seller net), proportional payment fees (3.2 % by default), and fixed fees including Stripe provider fees and a share of the monthly active seller fee. These values may be adjusted by environment configuration.

The price shown to the buyer is therefore higher than the net amount received by the seller. The difference is the Grinsel commission and payment fees.

Payment and seller payout

Payment is processed by the payment provider or providers enabled in the platform. Grinsel only keeps the technical identifiers needed to track transactions.

Seller payout is blocked until the order is complete, while a dispute is open, or when a payment, compliance, or fraud check requires it.

Refunds and paid cancellations

The automated flow supports full and partial refunds through the admin interface. Partial refunds deduct a proportional share of the commission and may apply a seller penalty under the configured policy.

When a seller requests cancellation of an already-paid order, the platform may apply a seller penalty under the configured policy. The code provides a default fixed penalty of EUR 5 when no specific configuration is set.
